Sajina's Publishing Company would like to congratulate author Ashton Vestra on his book Witches of Pittsburgh for winning the John Newbery Medal for the year 2020. The Newbery Medal is awarded annually to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children the preceding year. Witches of Pittsburgh is the third book Vestra has written, but the first he has published with us. History has been made as this is the first book we have published to win a Newbery Medal, and hopefully, there will be many more will follow. To celebrate the award, there will be a book signing and giveaway at XXX Mall on Saturday, December 05, starting at noon. Don't miss this chance to meet Ashton Vestra and be entered to win a copy of one of his books. One raffle ticket will be given to each guest at entry until 1:00 p.m. and drawings will take place at 1:15 p.m. the same day. There will be a total of six winners. Individuals must be present to claim the prize. Follow our social media to stay up to date with our events and hear more details as time progresses.

Witches of Pittsburgh is a riveting story about two young twin boys, Oliver and Emil, who find out about a not-so-secret family past. They are born descendants of witches, except any magic the family once had has lied dormant for generations. That is until, their 16th birthday. With their newfound powers comes a new world of mystery and wonder, but that is not always a good thing. As dark forces appear it is up to the twins and their friends to keep their city safe … and pass that Algebra test on Monday.
